Ann Marie Sexton, Events and Special Programs Manager, comes to Presidio Graduate School from her previous role as the Project Coordinator for the San Rafael-based non-profit organization, Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI). At SEI, she worked closely with teachers, community groups and school administrators to design, organize and promote a multitude of programs, trainings and events focused on sustainability in the public and education sectors. She also has experience serving low-income communities both as a Resident Service Coordinator for Mercy Housing and as a Notre Dame AmeriCorps member.
Ann Marie graduated from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH with a degree in Fine Arts and a concentration in Communications. In the summer of 2010, she completed an online Master’s Course in Sustainable Development offered by the Blekinge Institute in Kariskrona, Sweden. The following spring, she graduated with a certificate in Sustainable Practices from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA.
Ann Marie’s background in sustainable education and passion for international development, as well as experience in supporting the entrepreneurial spirit at the SoMa Hub in downtown SF, all contributed to her decision to join Presidio Graduate School. She fits right into this community of passionate folks driven to simultaneously challenge and create systems-based approaches to sustainability.
